The atmosphere at Anlo Technical Institute (ANTECH) was electric this week as students, staff, and the local community gathered for the much-anticipated Inter-House Sports, Athletics, and Games Festival. Held from March 24th to March 27th, 2026, the four-day event was a spectacular display of athleticism, teamwork, and the vibrant school spirit that defines our institution.
Day 1 & 2: The Spirit of Competition Ignites
The festival kicked off on Tuesday with a colorful opening ceremony and march-past, where the various houses displayed their unique identities and discipline. The early days were dominated by intense “Games” fixtures, including:
Football: Thrilling matches that drew massive crowds to the touchlines.
Volleyball & Basketball: Showcasing tactical prowess and hand-eye coordination.
Table Tennis & Indoor Games: Highlighting the precision and focus of our technical students.
Day 3 & 4: Speed, Strength, and Endurance
The focus shifted to the athletics track for the final two days. The roar of the crowd grew louder as the best sprinters and long-distance runners from each house took to the field.
Sprints: The 100m and 200m races were highlight events, with photo finishes that kept the officials on their toes.
Relays: The 4x100m and 4x400m races proved once again that success at ANTECH is built on seamless transitions and team synergy.
Field Events: High jump, long jump, and shot put competitions allowed our power athletes to shine, breaking several school records in the process.
“Sports is not just about winning; it’s about the discipline, resilience, and collaboration that we also teach in our workshops and classrooms. Seeing our students excel on the field is a testament to their holistic development.” —

The Grand Finale
The festival reached its climax today, March 27th, with the final trophy presentation. Regardless of which house took home the overall championship, every student who participated contributed to a memorable week that will be talked about for years to come.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Physical Education department, the house masters, the student leaders, and our dedicated sponsors for making this festival a resounding success.
